Hello everybody
There are surely some threads about this topic, but I couldn't find a good answer for my question, so I ask you now.
What is best practice: Passive or Active Agent?
When there are no firewall issues, I would prefer Active Agent, as to lower the load on the zabbix server.
I read about NAT issues with passive checks, but I wonder why.
My Zabbix Server is on top level of network hierarchy. So I would have NAT problems if I would reach a client underneath.
The other direction (agent to server) was never a problem.
How do you handle that?
Do you have each template twice (for active and passive agents)? If so, how do you guarantee that they are always identical when you have to change an item?
Kind regards
Daniel
