Zabbix server 5.0 to 6.0 upgrade, no packages available for EL7?

We have Zabbix 5.0 deployed in our AWS VPC. The deployment consists of two AmazonLinux2 nodes in HA (Pacemaker/Corosync) with a third node providing a quorum device for the cluster. The two nodes have the backend and front-end packages installed. The database is a RDS (Aurora-MySQL) instance. We are looking to upgrade to 6.0 and noticed there are no EL7 packages for the server components, only the agent. But if you select the cloud images in the Zabbix download page, they do offer a Zabbix 6.0 server that's running on AmazonLinux2, so clearly running Zabbix 6.x server on EL7 is possible. Has anyone upgraded a EL7 Zabbix server to 6.x?

Zabbix 6.0 server packages for RHEL 7 have not been released. Check the blog for details.

Also, Amazon Linux 2 is not RHEL 7. Amazon Linux 2 updates each package independently, so I think it's an environment that uses those new libraries and middleware. Please consider rebuilding for Amazon Linux 2 yourself using the new libraries. You may be able to get packages for Amazon Linux 2 by signing a support contract, so please contact your local Zabbix support service partner.
Another solution is to migrate to another supported OS.

Amazon Linux 2 is is widely known to be based on EL7, Centos specifically. Yes, it has been heavily modified for AWS purposes but at its core it is EL7. This is why the installation of Zabbix uses the Zabbix RHEL 7 repo for the RPM packages. We do have a support contract. I figured I could just ask here to see what others have done in regard to EL7 distros before going down that route. Thanks for the link to the blog post. Going to another OS is not an option for us, as we have standardized our entire AWS fleet on AL2. We might end up doing containers.
