    ZABBIX Server - ZABBIX Proxy

    Good morning,
    in my office there is a Zabbix Server (Server_Old) with different hosts connetted.
    Now in the new Company I had create a new Zabbix Server (Server_New) and I wold like that this was the master.
    In the old server I installed zabbix_proxy Active but I don't see in the Server_New the hosts connetted near Server_Old.
    Why? How can I do?

    Why? Because it just does not work that way... You have 2 independent zabbix servers at the moment + one proxy, which has nothing to do with the server, what runs on the same host.
    You need to transfer al hosts to new server, drop old server and assign that proxy to monitor all those hosts

      Thanks for the answer.
      Now I copy the old hosts in the new server and assign all at the proxy server and I close the old server.
      But it possibile if the new server is down recive the allert? In the old struture I have arount 400 hosts (switch, router, AP...)

        Isn't that obvious? Who would calculate you triggers, if you server is down? So no... if your new server is dead, you will not get alarms...

          Sorry, I may not have given much guidance.

          I have two structures:
          • MASTER where I have installed the new main server where, in case of problems, I get email alerts;
          • SLAVE in the old structure where I installed the proxy server.
          The two locations and are connected through the Internet.

          I wanted to have double security :
          1. If Proxy-server not reachable a message is sent from the Master Server;
          2. If Server internal problems and qundi not accessing the internet I get an alert message from the proxy.

            Proxies don't do alerts, it's the main zabbix server that handles alerts.

            Recent versions of Zabbix support a high availability (HA) mode, but that requires multiple Zabbix servers. I don't believe there's any reasonable way that you could have a system be both a proxy and HA server. You could continue to use your existing proxy as a proxy with Zabbix HA servers, but you would need an additional system for the HA server.
