I've encountered an issue with servers being stuck in Maintenance mode in Zabbix 2.2. I believe this is a problem stemming from our framework and not an issue with Zabbix. Regardless, what matters is that sometimes I see servers stuck in maintenance mode that should be monitored. My question is if there is some way to "monitor" the servers in maintenance mode so that I am alerted when one is stuck there. My initial thinking was making a trigger and applying it to the maintenance group such that if server uptime > some amount of time, send me an alert- is this possible? As I understand sending an alert on a server in MM kind of defeats the purpose, but if it is possible it seems like the easiest option to me. Other than that, is there something I can do from Zabbix to accomplish this goal? Thank you in advance for the advice.
