Why utilization of discoverer processes over 75%?

I think I don't quite understand how the error message works.

On the panel I see this:


but the CPU usage is always below 2%. So what does this message mean?

I need to keep the discovery function active.

it is not CPU usage it reports... it is process being active constantly...

• discoverer - process for discovery of devices

You can increase the number of discoverers (StartDiscoverers parameter in server config). If it is default 1, then it maybe just does not keep up with demand. How many discoveries you have defined? How big ranges? Maybe it would be better to increase number of processes and have smaller ranges to discover? One range uses one discovery process, so adding processes but not splitting up ranges does not resolve anything...

Ok now is clear. The range is a tipical /24 and I can try to modify StartDiscoverers. Maybe a little tuning of this paramiters can reduce the warning about utilization of discoverer processes.

How did you solve this problem? I have 1 discovery rule for /24 network and I added StartDiscoverers=250 and Warning still persist.

Your 1 discovery rule occupies exactly 1 discoverer... So adding whatever amount of them, will not make it work faster.

Well, in 6.4 I had the annoying continuous message of "Zabbix server: Utilization of discoverer processes over 75%" and looking on the internet I found on this page "https://min.news/en/news/ce858eed305914074768d87e2de13017.html" the solution that consists in edit the "zabbix_server.conf" and put "StartDiscoverers=3".
