    Availability reports

    Hello,

I need to provide uptime reports to my management team. With Solarwinds I can quickly select a group of nodes based on a label and generate a report for uptime by LAST MONTH. This same process in Zabbix is extremely difficult.

Any advice on how to measure uptime of a device? I need to achieve 99.99%.

I tried using the availability report option in Zabbix and I have a host group, but it's based on a template and the template has icmp loss, icmp, and icmp latency. I compared a site from Solarwinds and then from Zabbix, and the Zabbix site shows 100% uptime while Solarwinds shows the correct 97% uptime. Is Zabbix measuring some sort of combine values or triggers?

There is not much in terms of documentation on Google in regards to a simple uptime report from Zabbix. Any assistance is appreciated.

Any help from the community on this item? Curious if Zabbix is more of a beta garage product or something that is used commercially. The simplicity of the need but the complexity to do it appears to make this platform impractical for non-developers.

      Hi,

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm looking to do a similar thing but having some difficulty.

      Thanks!

In zabbix, such tasks are solved by setting up "service monitoring" .

Had the same problem, came up with python app to make this report using zabbix api: https://github.com/KznRkjp/zabbix-availability-report
