Migrating 4.0.27 > 6.0

Hello everyone!
We are running a zabbix-installation with several Docker-containers. Zabbix-version is 4.0.27. I'm now setting up the server completely new - new virtual machine, ubuntu 22.04, zabbix 6.0 LTS.
I'm now looking for a way to migrate the 4.0 database into the new installation. A simple export-import will not work due to the new database-format.
Is there any tool or hints to migrate?

Depending on DB and ways of export-import it might just do everything you need...
Do not create new DB with new schema... Exporting from old DB and uploading to new DB should create all the schemas and data, as it was in old one. When you connect your new server to that DB, it will do necessary upgrade tasks there, converting/adding/removing etc...

edit: I dont know a thing about containers.. it may require extra steps to do all that... But you probably get the general point of actions...

I tried the way, you mentioned and get the error:
The Zabbix database version does not meet the current requirements. Your database version: 5030078. Required version: 6000000. Please contact your system administrator.
when I try to login to the new server ...

You need to start your new server first, before going to GUI. As mentioned, starting the server will upgrade the database. See zabbix_server.log for any errors during the process. However:

Your database version: 5030078. Required version: 6000000.

I don't know what exactly you are doing, but your database is not from a normal Zabbix 4.0.27 installation.

It worked at the end. I'd forgotten to wipe out the existing DB properly before importing the backup.
