    Upgrade issue, need help

    OS: Windows 10
    Agent: zabbix agent 2

    Upgraded from 6.2.3 to 6.2.4

    6.2.3 uninstalled but 6.2.4 won't install and can't revert to 6.2.3

no errors, not sure what to do, any ideas?

Apparently, when I pushed the install of 6.2.4 it uninstalled 6.2.3 and somehow corrupted itself, and thinks 6.2.4 is already installed. REALLY REGRETTING telling my boss I could save the company some money with this application.

Now I have to reinstall manually on 171 devices...

I guess next time you run it against 1-2 hosts first, before deploying to all available ones..
Don't worry, most of people have such painful memories from something.. Like doing "rm -rf /etc" instead of "rm -rf etc"...:P

I would suggest you to use ansible to re-install on 171 devices. Had the devices count be around 3-4, manual installation would have had been ok but we are talking about 171.
Ansible is easy to setup and you can easily find tons of resources to use ansible to install applications and configure them.

cyber I know right... I have tried Action1, Chocolatey, PDQ Deploy, Powershell, and CMD - NONE of them will reinstall the agent. I can install in manually though. So frustrating. Live and learn.

Singularity Haven't used Ansible I will look it up, thanks!

Ansible and windows... not really... Possible, but too much hassle. In the end it will still use things you have in that host... PS, cmd etc.. In the end.. windows should be managed with windows.. SCCM etc.

I agree. For windows ansible is not very good option( but it will work. and also considering the fact that that are tons of resources available freely for ansible ). And yes server management tool is a better option. I was just trying to highlight that for installation and configuration on servers/hosts > 3-4, automation is the right way( saves time, not prone to human errors, new logic skills added to oneself ... etc. )
