Setup Discovery Rule for HPE Switch to get VLAN information

    Short Question:
Has anyone ever successfully gathered VLAN details into Zabbix from an HPE/Aruba Switch?

    Long Explanation:
I've been inventorying switch configurations and thought there's got to be a way to automate this process, so my spreadsheets get updated automatically. Zabbix came to mind since we just recently set it up to monitor the environment.
I started to set up a dashboard in Zabbix to pull all the information together (one switch per dashboard page) showing details about each switch port, but it appears Zabbix is not gathering any information about VLAN(s). More specifically, what VLAN a port is a part of.

I looked into creating a discovery rule within the "HP Enterprise Switch SNMP" template, but I'm not sure what some of the settings should be, or if it's even possible to pull the VLAN details using SNMP.
If you have any details on how I might do this, that would be helpful and much appreciated. And yes, I've read all the Zabbix documentation, but some of it isn't very clear to me (yet).

I was using this webpage for the OIDs. VLAN Monitoring | VLAN Discovery Tool - ManageEngine OpManager

It would also be nice if there was a way to create a custom dashboard template, so I don't have to add each item for each switch port to create the dashboard I'm wanting.

Hello - I'd be really interested to find out how you got on with this.
I'm also trying to grab the VLAN information from my Arubas and I've confirmed the OID stream is correct but I'm unsure how I would begin adding this to the Zabbix Templates.
Is this something you managed to achieve?
    Thanks in advance

      Hi Egena,

I have found graphs that get created by the Zabbix template that are VLAN specific, so Zabbix is collecting some information related to VLANs.
I haven't found a way to do exactly what I wanted, and I've decided Zabbix isn't the best tool for the job as well, mostly because the Dashboard feature, I was trying to use, won't hold enough items.
