User and user groups and host groups where abouts?

Can anyone tell us, for the purpose of upgrading zabbix where the users, user groups, and host groups are stored? Can they be easily exported from the old version and imported into the new version?

You can use various methods to copy the full database for upgrade, I just used rsync to clone a 2.9T mysql system for 5.0 to 6.0 upgrade. Copying just parts of the configuration wouldn't be easy, it might work, probably won't. There is a script called zabbix-dump (I think) that unloads everything but the huge history and trend data.

If you skip history, history_uint, history_log, history_text. trends and trends_uint tables your DB dump should be pretty reasonable size and transferrable.

But just for users (groups) and hosts (groups) you need users, users_groups, hosts and hosts_groups.
