Problem: Latest data shows nothing - but testing an item yields a value

We are monitoring our securepoint firewall.
Currently we are implementing items using item discovery prototyping. The OID used is IF-MIB::ifPhysAddress.{#SNMPINDEX}, where {#SNMPINDEX} is the index of the network interface discovered.
As you can see on the screenshots the item seems to be configured correctly. Even the test yields a physical octet string, but a look at the latest data from this host (the firewall) yields nothing.
Other values for several OIDs are listed under latest data, but not this one.

Can anyone find an error or tell me what i should change?

    I found the solution myself.
The storage period for this value was not set.
It seems latest data needs a storage period in order to have values to be shown.
I get the desired values now.

Please take a look at my other question "Recommended trigger values for surveillance of network interfaces" here: https://www.zabbix.com/forum/zabbix-...ork-interfaces

Wouldn't this be obvious.. no storage, no data?
