AWS RDS instance by HTTP Help me uderstand.. aws.rds.deadlocks.rate

    Hello,

I am testing a zabbix solution for monitoring a couple of RDS databases. In the template source, I see:

aws.rds.deadlocks.rate , which I am interested in alerting on...

But, I do not see any trigger in the GUI. Do I need to create an item/trigger to include it?

    Thanks

In general, the idea has been that all provided templates are kind of starting points for your own customizations. So yes, it is quite possible that you need to add your own triggers to get alerts on whatever details you need.

So, this sort of resolved itself. Depending on if the instance is RDS or Aurora the cloudwatch API supports this item depending on if it is available. This particular item is not available over http for RDS but is for Aurora.
