    SNMP context for items

    Hi

    Zabbix version 5.4.9

We use Cisco and have switched from OSPF to BGP to remote sites. We also uses VRFs to divide the network.
To be able top monitor the BGP status I have to use SNMP context to query the right VRF.
But if I enter a context value in Zabbix SNMP node part it will be used on all SNMP items and I lose the interfaces.

I want to have context per item level not on host level.

    How can I do that?

You can create additional host SNMP interfaces with the specific SNMP settings (community/context) and then edit the items or discovery rules to use the specific interfaces.

I created one discovery rule for each VRF just for this reason. Not ideal but it works in my case where VRFs are not changed that often.
