    MySQL Binlog file increasing day by day

    Hello everyone,
    I have a problem that the MySQL binlog file size is increasing day by day. That makes the storage on my hard drive not enough. Is there a way to limit the binlog file generation or something to improve the storage capacity of my Zabbix Server?
    And what is this binlog file?
    If I delete these binlog files, will there be any problem with Zabbix Server?
    I use Zabbix 6.0.5 built on Ubuntu 20.04
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks everyone.

    This is how one of my MariaDB servers is configured:

    [mysqld]
    expire_logs_days = 3
    max_binlog_size = 1G

    It automatically deletes binlogs older than ~three days, and each file is 1 GB max.

    For manually deleting the old binlogs (if you don't need them), search for "purging mysql binlogs" with your favourite search engine.

    And what is a binary log: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/overview-of-the-binary-log/

    If I delete these binlog files, will there be any problem with Zabbix Server?
    Absolutely no problem for Zabbix itself. But if your database system (replication mostly) needs them, that's a different story.
