Expiring/deleting items discovered by disabled discovery rule

I have found several similar posts on the forum and most seem to suggest using the expiration feature of discovered items for deleting the extras.

On Zabbix 6, I have a disabled discovery rule. However previously discovered items does not seem to expire.

It seems there is also no possibility to filter items discovered by specific discovery rule.

How can one expire/delete the previously discovered items by a disabled discovery rule?

The item deletion happens when the discovery rule is processed: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...evel_discovery

If entities were marked for deletion, but were not deleted at the expected time (disabled discovery rule or item host), they will be deleted the next time the discovery rule is processed.
    Your question:
How can one expire/delete the previously discovered items by a disabled discovery rule?
Add a filter to the discovery rule that basically matches nothing so that all items will be marked for deletion, then enable the discovery rule, and configure/wait for the rule to run. Finally you can disable the rule again and delete the filter.
