Home Automation as IOT with zabbix

I wrote a long and complex first post and it failed to post with an error message that did not explain the problem. If this one posts, I will recreate the 'real' post. It has many questions about home automation use , MTTQ, ModBus, Raspberry Pi Debian agent, etc.
I wonder whether my non-standard application of zabbix is of enough interest to have an ongoing topic?

Yeah, it's the annoying bot/attack filter they use in the forum, it "forgets" you every few minutes. If you encounter that when posting, open another browser tab and visit the forum, then you can try resending the message in the original window.
