    Filesystem discovery and ignore paths

For some reason, suddenly zabbix started to complain about disk usage for all mountpoints on our servers, e.g. /proc /sys /dev.

I've found, that i've havent set the ignore pattern, on the discovery rules. So i've added this, but zabbix does stll complain about the paths, what am I doing wrong? Maybe it takes more than 5-10 minutes for it to "discover" the changes, and for the wrong mountpoints to disappear.

I've also tried this, but I guess its just another way of doing the same: I've also tried this, with same result: https://nixhive.com/how-to-exclude-v...-discovery/

There are a few points to consider:

"And" is usually the correct type of calculation. However, you didn't show your full list of filters so YMMV.

Your regexp does not match /proc (it would match /proc/).

See the discovery interval setting how often it runs.

See the "Keep lost resources period" setting of the discovery rule to see when the nondiscovered items will be deleted. You can still delete items manually before that.

haha.. Nicely spotted with the regex. Im doing different testing to see if I could get it working, but it was an typo!

      The interval i 60 seconds.

If I look at the "latest data" for the item, its still getting updated every 60s, so I do not think it helps adjust the lost resources period ?
Keep lost resources period was 30days, i've tried to lower if to see if it helps..

I've just set it to use the macros for filesystem types instead, which should ignore /proc /dev etc..

Ok, it actually works now, im not sure if it was the "Keep lost resources period" or not, because im quite sure 1h hour was not passed, as I tried to set it too.
