    Calculating Percentage of item

I'm trying to get a percentage of toner left in a Xerox photocopier. I've been looking at the SNMP results and can see that it doesn't report back in a percentage but in some other form of measurement.

So for the black it's currently on 460, there's another key called max capacity and for the black it's 4600. So there is 10% left.

Is there a way i can calculate this on the item to give a percent left?

My second question is i also look at the the total number of page impressions, is there a way to get a monthly page impression figure as i would like to work out the printing costs.

For your first question, let's create calculated item:

Two ways come immediately to mind.
You could poll the figure once a month and store the value as "simple delta" - this would give you the increase per sample period, hence pages per month.

Alternately, you could store the value as is, perhaps once per day - and then define another calculated value as being "current page count - page count from 30 days ago"

This would then give you a rolling 30 day count.
