ZABBIX + POSTGRESQL + TIMESCALEDB compiled from source

Hi I am facing a monitoring system project (zabbix), I would like to use a postgreSQL database with timescaleDB, will building the database from sources increase performance? Should I expect more problems after building from sources than by installing from package manager.

I doubt you will gain anything by compiling everything by yourself... It would make sense only for some very special hardware and low resources, when you really want to minimize the footprint... Everything in DB is configurable...
