Synology HA Cluster -

Hello,

Recently have updated our Synology HA Cluster to version: DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 3 (latest currently available version of DSM).

Problem:
In Zabbix monitoring new alert has appeared: [Free disk space is less than 20% on volume /]

When I check our synology, we have only 1 volume and there is about 40% of free space.



Templates, which we are using are:

• Template Synology DiskStation;
• Zshare Synology Cluster.

Maybe the reason is because there is no existing Zabbix Template for Synology DMS version 7.*?
Here: https://www.zabbix.com/integrations/synology the latest template is for: template_synology_dsm_6.2_cluster_monitoring and no template for "template_synology_dsm_7.1_cluster_monitoring" ?

Everything is correct based on returned values (whatever those kilounits are..) ... Doing such upgrades, you really need to verify, what is returned and how and make adjustments, if needed.
Go on.. off you go to investigate those hrStorageUsed and hrStoragesize items.. Where they come and how to eat them..

Template (Zshare Synology Cluster) is based on Synology MIB Guide and monitor only an Synology HA Cluster.

Is based on snmp v2 data from section Synology SHA MIB

Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) allows users to monitor the status of their Synology servers through Network Management Systems (NMS) via Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). However, Synology DSM does not provide SNMP trap capability. This document introduces Management Information Base (MIB) files of Synology servers. It focuses on which MIB files are supported by DSM, while also describes how Object Identifiers (OIDs) in Synology MIBs are used with your preferred NMS software. Users are encouraged to have experience and knowledge of NMS and SNMP before consulting this document.

"Zshare Synology Cluster" template does not collect those values, neither has any triggers in it...
"Template Synology DiskStation" template does not have such trigger you have here on pics also... and items (prototypes) seem also with a bit different names...

Maybe you can take more up to date (or unmodified) version of template?

But looking at the Guide, you linked, there should not be any significant differences.. Those things, mentioned as supported on 7+ version, are not used in these templates...

Hi,

I have contacted with Synology support and they confirmed, that this trigger is OK and it is not an error.
Finally have made modification to a trigger from 85% to 86% in Zabbix.
