Is It possible to install on them same server?

    Dear all,

I am new comer It is possible to install Zabiix-agent, Zabbix-proxy on the same Zabbix server? I see that these are installed on the same server? Are there any difference?

    Thanks,

As proxy and agent perform different tasks, then yes, you can install agent and proxy on same server. But you cannot install proxy and server on same host (easily... and what would be the point..)

Thank you. It means that: Zabbix-agent is not a server, It is an app installed on host/servers which we want to monitor those. Is it right?
And another question is: If I only use a zabbix server (do not use Zabbix-agent, Zabbix-proxy), can I monitor the performance of: servers/VMs, Cisco routers/switches, Juniper network devices?
      Thanks in advance,

yes... Agent is the piece of software, that monitors that particular server, where it is installed.
If you only have a server, then you can use agentless checks. Out-of-the-box VMWare monitoring works over http checks (through vCenter API) , so yes, you can do that. Network devices can be monitored over SNMP, again you can do that without any agent.
Proxy usage is not mandatory. It all depends on amount of hosts you check and how many items you check. At one point it is just better to leave all polling jobs for proxy(ies) and let server deal only with trigger calculations.
