    Cannot monitor Mysql...

Hi, I have a simple Zabbix 2.0-1 installation with both agent and server on the same remote ubuntu 14.04 LTS machine.

Everything works except that no matter what I do, I can't get either the standard MySQL template or the Percona one to work - although I have linked the templates to the server, no graph data is displayed.

There are no error messages that shed any light on the issue in the zabbix logs and I have tried all the stuff I can find on-line but to no avail.

I have one mysql user that is set up for the zabbix package and the mysql templates, it is granted usage on all databases @ localhost and all on the zabbix database. I also have a separate mysql user for the percona templates that is granted super and process on all databases @ %

This is not the first time I have had this problem with Zabbix and MySQL... Can anyone suggest a methodology for identifying the problem and resolving it? I would be very grateful!

    Many Thanks

FYI I have upgraded (via apt-get install) to 2.4 which is the latest repository version, but without any change...
    I am using Mysql 5.6.29 & Apcahe 2.4.7.

      Hi

Where do you keep the agent configuration for mysql? I had some trouble getting the thing running myself, but noticed that the author of the template was very specific about where to keep the configs. Finally I got it running by precisely following the given installation instructions.

...finally got the basiv Zabbix mysql template working - you were right it was an issue to do with HOME and .my.cnf.
The first post of this was useful:

        Next Percona!
