Is it possible to do LLD item creation from SNMP TRAPS ?

Hi,

Thanks for the reponse, the problem is the dicovery rules only allows a type of SNMP agent (so it expects to read values) and not SNMP Trap (as i have set the main item to). The device i am working with only generates traps and does not allow reading of the device alarms. So I need to do this specifically when a trap is received by zabbix

Yes, you cannot have discovery source directly as a trap, but you can have regular trap item and point your discovery to that item (type dependent). and create your items also as dependents from that master item. Only downfall here is, that with the first trap you get items created and only with the second one populated..
