Trigger dependencies / alert storm

Hello guys,

I'd like to ask you for a help. Im trying to setup dependencies on triggers based on this article - https://blog.zabbix.com/handy-tips-1...dencies/18696/.

My environment:


ZABBIX --> edge router ---> hosts

Im trying to avoid alert storm in my environment when edge router is not reachable by Ping. On all hosts I've configured triggers to be depended on edge router's Ping trigger.



Trigger Ipsec tunnel down is configured as followed:





With current settings I can see that when edge router is not reachable I get a lots of alerts for each host behind the the router.
Could you help me tune this settings please?

Try to make the router polled more often than the devices behind it.
For example, the router is polled once every 10 seconds (the trigger will fired in 30 seconds) and the devices 1 time per minute.
