Scheduling continues to kick my ***

Surely this can't be as complex as it seems. I have tried multiple times to get a monitor to run just ONCE, once a week, to read a file and act accordingly. I see examples in the manual for this but doesn't work for me. It is setup with a interval 0 and a simple schedule that says wd7h11. i.e. run on Sunday at 11am. With Interval 0, it seems it never runs, and any non zero interval runs all the time. Can anyone tell me what I am mis-understanding? Zabbix V5.0. Thanks.

I would appreciate anyone's response on how to use the scheduler to run a monitor once a week, rather than using an 86400m interval

What happens if you change the Scheduling interval to "wd7h11m0". As explained in the scheduling interval documentation, you do want to keep "Update interval" at 0.

Wait, have you clicked "Add" after doing this?

Well, are you telling me something I don't know? I have always "assumed" that adding another line was for multiple scheduling periods. Am I supposed to hit Add before I just update the page?

Try closing your browser window or tab, so you're no longer displaying the item page.

Then come back in a new browser window or tab.

If your interval is still being displayed, then it was saved.

If it's missing, then you didn't either Add or Update, so it never got saved.

OK, if that's the criteria, then Yes, when I leave and come back to the item it is still defined...dang, I thought you had found my simple mistake..I know it is something simple.

Item type is? Zabbix agent? or Zabbix agent Active? Latter will work only with agent2. With classic agent scheduled check works only with passive items...

Sorry for the delay, I was on PTO this week. Item type is just a text string for comparison and I am aware that schedules have to use the zabbix proxy as a pull, not active.
