    N00b Windows App Question

Very new to Zabbix so bare with me. Id like to use Zabbix to monitor a Windows application then notify me via email if its not running. Is there a built in feature to call the application?

If the application runs as a service that's an easy one. Use the built in Template "Windows Services by Zabbix Agent"

I've seen a few guides on monitoring running processes of varying complexities but not tried it myself.

Its a process that I have to start up manually. I can run Get-Process "myprocess.exe" then it shows the output.

If it were me, I'd try to make it a service. There are a few ways of doing it, either using 3rd party tools or natively in Windows using SC.exe. Some Googling will give you straight forward walk throughs for SC at least

proc.num item is supported also on Windows... You can count processes by name...
