I've been trying to find a few ways to do case insensitive and inverted checks in log monitoring. I have searched many regex posts and havent found much.
Currently I can find a case insensitive word with a regex like
[Ee][Rr][Rr][Oo][Rr]
but this feels ugly and drawn out (especially for longer phrases). I tried
(?i)error
But that doesnt work. Regex on log files are case sensitive.
I'm also hoping that it may be possible to search for lines that dont match an expression. Eg something like
(!sample)
to try to find lines that dont have the word sample in them.
Any suggestions ?
