Ping external IP-s that does not have Zabbix agent installed on them

I was trying to find a solution to my problem, but had no luck. I have Zabbix server 5.0.20 installed and I have bunch of IPs in a file (for example /tmp/ips) The IP-s in the file are updated once in every 2 minutes or so. The controller node (where IPs are stored) have Zabbix agent installed. Those are the virtual router IP's and I want to monitor them with ping. There are no zabbix agent installed and those IP-s could change in every 2 minutes or so. Is there any ways I can monitor those IP-s with ping and auto-update them?

I don't think there is anything built in that would do this, but you could script it :-)

My initial thought would be to turn the list of IP's into a JSON object for LLD. They could be items on a host, new IP's would be discovered, deleted ones removed (with LLD keep period set to 0). LLD would define the item prototype and triggers for each.
