Low Level Discovery Notification

I am using low level discovery on our network switches to help discover when something new is plugged in. Is there a way to receive a notification when a new item is discovered and added to the host?

I tried to create a new Internal Action with the following condition.

Event type = Low-level discovery rule in "normal" state

However I didn't receive a notification when I tested this.

There is no such notifications in zabbix.
If you need to organize alarms about for example change network switches ports state you can organize this on top of metric with state of the port.
