Hi everyone,
I have recently built a new Zabbix server following guides online and have around 15/107 hosts that intermittently have problems with ICMP ping.
The trigger: "Unavailable by ICMP ping" occurs for a handful of hosts throughout the day intermittently.
- I can confirm that our other Zabbix servers do not report these same problems when this new Zabbix server does.
- I can ping the hosts myself when the issue occurs.
I've had a look online for similar issues and followed steps to increase StartPingers to 30, this does not appear to have made any difference.
I've increased the update intervals many times for the ICMP Ping items from 60s up to 10m to no avail.
I am unsure if there are issues with our back-end configuration as this problem only occurs for a select handful of hosts.
I am quite new to Zabbix so this could be a simple solution. If anyone has any pointers on where to look or what troubleshooting steps I could take, that would be greatly appreciated!
