2 Zabbix servers retreiving data from a single Zabbix proxy

    Hello,
I have 2 Zabbix servers that need to retreive data from a single Zabbix proxy,
I am wondering if it is possible to have 2 servers retreive data by setting up Zabbix proxy in passive mode and list the IP addresses of the two Zabbix servers under Server option in the Zabbix proxy configuration file?

    Thank you in advance.

Nope. When your proxy sends data away to server, that data is removed from proxy... Proxy is not meant to serve two masters.

Thank you for your reply. What would be the proper workaround for this issue? Can I setup 2 proxy instances connected to the same database? Or is there a different way?

I don't know... What's the story behind all this? Are those Zabbix servers completely different? Or somehow identical, just need same data inserted?

          Sorry for my late reply.
We have to share data with one of our clients Zabbix servers, but we also need data on our Zabbix server too.

you can have the agent send to both zabbix servers, or your proxy and there server.

RIght... yes... agent accepts multiple sources. But IIRC it also causes double the load of polling.. IIRC, it does not know how to share once polled data to different sources. And of course, those servers can ask for completely different data, so there is nothing to share..

Would it be possible to setup 2 proxy instances and make them send data to the servers? Or will there be any complications with that solution?

Sure you can set up 2 different proxies.

Just to make sure, it is possible to make 2 proxy instances on the same machine and make them send data to separate servers?

yes you can, just need to use different ports for them. 10051 and11051 for example. You cannot run 2 instances on same port. And you probably need to play around with service files so you can actually start up another one etc..
