How to connect zabbix-agent (AWS EC2) with zabbix-server(local linux machine) ?

Hi,

I have set up an zabbix server 6.0 on one of my local linux machine. All the setup has been done successfully and working fine.
I have set an zabbix agent on the AWS EC2 instance (linux). I want to know which settings we need to do for making connections between them.
Please suggest.

You need to create a host on the zabbix frontend. Specify the address of the virtual machine with the agent as the interface.
On the AWS virtual machine, in the agent configuration file (by default its located in /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf), allow connection from the server by writing its address in the line 'Server= '

Also don't forget that firewall ports 10050 should be open for passive checks and 10051, for active ones.

Not entirely true... yes these ports are used, but 10050 on agent side and 10051 on server/proxy side... So it is important for FW, which side initiates connection. From Server/proxy -> agent host:10050 and from agent host to proxy/server:10051.
