When I use the "Test Item" feature on SNMP agent items in GUI it always times out. I can snmpwalk the same OID to the same device with the same credentials, same SNMP settings from the same zabbix server, so I know the device responds. It also happens to items that works fine in other areas of the GUI, like system.sw.os[sysDescr.0] with OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0, that I can clearly see report the correct info, but if I click the Item and "Test Item" that has all the credentials and so on filled in already - it times out. I have checked IP, port number, credentials and SNMP settings probably 10 times by now.
There is no proxy, just one simple zabbix server. (6.4)
Have I missed something that is obvious or common knowledge here? I thought I could use this feature to verify that my own Items work correctly.
