Monitor a single switch port

Was wondering if anyone could help.

I am trying to monitor just a single port on my switch.
Is there any way to, and if so, is there a template anywhere online?

For monitoring anything (including one switch port) templates are not always needed.
It is enough to understand WHAT you want to monitor and read the documentation on HOW to do it.
