Delayed log events

We are having an issue with late delivery of alerts.
configured in Zabbix a key to search for events of deactivated users, added in groups.
these events are coming with a delay of 4 5 hours if not more.
did anyone find a solution for this problem?

We probably need more info. What is the item definition? What is the log item time stamp vs when it occurred? (Is the delay in Zabbix receiving the log or triggering on the logged event)
