    Create Trigger Zabbix 6.4

    Hello,

i´m new to Zabbix ant try to learn the way how to create a Trigger. I have read a few howto´s but cant get on in.
I´m gathering my servers via a vCenter and i´m using the VMware template. Therefore i want now to ctreate some triggers for CPU RAM etc. but struggeling with the logic behind it.
Especially what i have to enter in the fields. I.e. i want a trigger that is activated when the CPU is running 15m long over 95% percent.

    Hey there.

The information that would be helpful for you can be found in official documentation, specifically: history functions.

For your case you would need to:
    1. switch from last (last only take 1 value for evaluation) to min (checks what is minimum value over a set period of time)
    2. set "Last of (T)" to 15m (this field defines period for evaluation)
    3. Leave "Time shift" empty (this field just shifts zabbix perspective. So with 15m value Zabbix would act like it's 15 minutes in the past when evaluating this trigger)
    4. Set Result to >= 95 (this is what you compare against, or the threshold value)

With this approach alert will fire if all values collected for last 15 minutes are above 95%. If at least one check would drop below 95% - alert will autoclose or not fire.
