    User permissions for web scenario tests data.

    I have a Zabbix user with non admin permissions so this user could login to Zabbix web page and see only his server monitoring data (CPU usage, RAM usage, etc.). So I added this user to special group which could see this user server data and he could login to Zabbix web panel and see all events about his server. But not web scenario test data. I could not find the way to allow this user to see only one web scenario results for his web site only. Web scenario is running on Zabbix server so part of Zabbix server group and I don't want to give this user access to this group or info about Zabbix server or other web scenarios. I am also not sure if I will move this web scenario from Zabbix server in hosts to this user server it will run this web test from this user server or it will run it from Zabbix server? I don't want this user server to test this website running on itself.

    Thanks.

    Hi!
    User will see WEB checks, that is configured on Hosts where he/she have access.
    Checks will run from Zabbix Server host using HTTP Poller process. Does not matter on what host it is configured.
    Hope I have answered your question.

        Thank you very much. It helps.
        One more question please if it is possible. I gave this user group read-write access to this server in Zabbix and access to Zabbix web console so this user could put this server in maintenance mode if needed and don't ask me to do it (we work in different time zones). But when this user login to Zabbix web console he could not see Configuration part of menu so could not put this server in maintenance mode. I don't want to give this user any unneeded rights. Just to let him see his server status and put it to maintenance mode if needed.

        Thank you.

          Hi!
          Welcome! Glad to help you!

          Zabbix have 3(4) levels of rights for users:
          1. Zabbix Super Admin - for this user level cannot restrict access to some resources;
          2. Zabbix Admin - user will have rights according to permissions set by groups;
          3. Zabbix User - in general, this user does not have write access (Read-only), so does not mater what kind of rights is set by server groups.
          (4) guest - approximately the same level as user, but without any password.

          So, for user with Permissions level "Zabbix user" is not possible to set Maintenance mode.
          Here is information about permission levels in Zabbix
          You are not first who are asking for it, so here is additional information about this feature request and some possible workaround.

          Regards,
          Alexander
