    Monitor a client's zabbix server in "active mode", please help me

    Hello everyone, and congratulations for the excellent forum.

    Could you please help me figure out how to monitor a client's zabbix server in "active mode" where I just want to know, with an email notification, when it is no longer connected to the internet.

    What have I done, Zabbix of the client to monitor I changed:
    Server=IPWANMYZABBIX,127.0.0.1
    ServerActive=IPWANMYZABBIX
    Hostname=ZabbixServerClientToMonitor

    In my Zabbix server I can collect data and I added these templates:
    Zabbix server health
    Remote Zabbix server health
    Linux by Zabbix agent active

    But I can't configure notifications if the client's Zabbix server crashes. Block understood as offline, switches off etc..

    Where am I wrong?

    Thanks

    I see your post and I have some suggestions for you that may be help you. First of all you have create a new trigger in your Zabbix server. Define the trigger expression to monitor the "Zabbix server" item with the "Zabbix server health" template on the client. For example, use the "nodata(5m)" function to check if there is no data received from the Zabbix server for 5 minutes. Set the trigger to go into a "PROBLEM" state when the condition is met. Create an action that sends an email notification when the trigger enters a "PROBLEM" state.
