Risks with deleting Templates which aren't linked to any hosts, or other templates?

As title says, we have tons of templates which aren't linked to hosts or other templates. What risks are there with deleting those templates?
Are keys in the template items at risk of being deleted too?

    Thanks

If you delete a template which is not attached to anything, then nothing happens if you delete it.. you just don't have that template any more.
What do you mean with "keys in template item"? if you delete a template, everything in it will be deleted.. items/trigger/discoveries etc... But if its not attached to any host, then you don't lose any data...

Hey Cyber, thanks for your replies today
For example we have Cisco SNMP templates which we do not use as we have no Cisco equipment.
If I delete the template, is there a risk of the key linked to the items in the template, such as icmpping, icmppingloss etc being deleted too, because obviously those Keys are also used by other templates in other ways.
Come to think of it, I dont see why they would or could be deleted if I deleted the template...

If you delete template, the items associated with the template will also get deleted. Regarding keys, here in zabbix keys are logic identifiers. But that does not means if you delete items or templates, you cannot access key definitions.
Example : deleting a template that has key net.tcp.service[ftp,,155] does not mean u cannot use it again. You just have to create an independent item or item in a template and add key( net.tcp.service[ftp,,155] ).

        Key creation : https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...items/item/key
