How to change under what user does zabbix agent run on Windows

Hey there,

can somebody guide me in the direction of how to change under what user the zabbix agent runs on Windows?

We are looking to implement zabbix in our company and the only thing we can not figure out is how to make zabbix agent run as an unprivileged user on Windows hosts.
I've found this link https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...in_permissions which makes me believe it is possible to do so.

Is this done in the config file or is it a Windows OS setting?

Change the user under service config (Log on as... ) I think... But I guess you first need to install it and then change that user.. Agent config under windows does not support "user" parameter like on linux...

You can follow these steps:

1. Open the Windows Services Manager.
2. Find the Zabbix Agent service, often named "Zabbix Agent."
3. Right-click on the service and select "Properties."
4. Go to the "Log On" tab.
5. Choose "This account" and provide the credentials of the unprivileged user.
6. Click "Apply" and then "OK."
7. Restart the Zabbix Agent service for changes to take effect.
