How to monitor Multiple SQL instance, same Host?

Hi team thanks for time and help, my question Can I make multiple full copies of the MSSQL By ODBC template to assign to the same host and monitor multiple SQL instances on the same host/server?

Instead, create multiple hosts and assign same template to those. Any macros you need, define those on host level, not in template.

I'm using this template to monitor multiple instance. You have to create Macro for instance.

Question: I'm not able to use an AD Service use. This is true ?

Yes, you have to create authentication user in Database.

Ok, I will ask my MS SQL DBA to create this user.

You can rename the existing template and then import new one or vice versa.

Renaming a file (or a template in zabbix) does not do anything. Every entity in template has it's own UUID. To import same template twice (or more), you need to change those UUID-s (and template names/groups).
I don't think there is any big diff in official template (https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/...=release%2F6.4) or this one here attached above... they have same UUID-s, which means that their origin is the same.
If someone is providing a template to replace something available OOB, it would be nice to have a changelog.

                    Hi Team - Greetings!

I need your help in montiroing the Named instances level monitroing in MS SQL through templates.

MS SQL services are running under named instance and MS SQL services need to be in monitoring.

                    Please help me on this.

                    Regards,
                    Ranjith R
