I recently moved from Zabbix 2.4 to Zabbix 3.0. Instead of doing an upgrade I went for a fresh install on a new VM running CentOS.
Everything was going great till I tried to import the settings. The previous setup for out Cisco 2911 routers was simple. I added the host, SNMP community, and the SNMP OID IF-MIB::ifDescr. It all worked without issue.
However, it will not work in 3.0. It's telling me the SNMP OID is incorrect or I have the wrong $MACRO.
I'm still new to Zabbix. What is a macro in regards to Zabbix and how do I find exactly which one I need for it to pull the information that I need?
