Trigger an acknowledge from an snmp trap

    Hello,
I couldn't find any documentation regards the topic, so I'm asking some advice.

We are moving to integrate some OSS under Zabbix, all with different interfaces and alarm management. Agents use these OSS to check alarms and acknowledge them. Every OSS generate snmp traps when there is a new alarm, the alarm is solved and the alarm has been acknowledged.

We are ok on Zabbix for both the creation of a new alarm and the resolution. However, we have yet to understand how to acknowledge an event on Zabbix from an snmp trap. Any idea?

    Thanks!

There is no mechanism in Zabbix to acknowledge an event based on trap.. trigger expressions either create a new event or close it, but they have no option to acknowledge existing event but leave it "open" and close it later based on OK trap.
you can do ack over API (https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...nt/acknowledge )... Maybe somehow it might be done over special action and API call...
