Creating a trigger for all hosts

Alexi,

I know there is a way to add an item to be checked to all hosts, but how do you add a trigger to all hosts.

What I want to do is:

Description: {HOSTNAME} unreachable
Expression: {HOSTNAME:status.last(5)}=2
Severity: HIGH
Comment: Device is not responding, investigate, identify cause and remediate.

Not supported yet

Hi Ash,

There is no way to add a trigger to all or selected hosts yet. This functionality will be supported by ZABBIX 1.1 and will work for triggers having reference to one host only.

I see no workaround to enable it in ZABBIX 1.0, unfortunately.

Well, if I may offer a suggestion if you are still planning what functionality to offer......

Can you provide options when a user creates a trigger to make it so that this trigger can be added to any of the following:
A. to a single host,
B. to a ' predefined group' of hosts,
C. to a user selected group of hosts,
D. to hosts within a particular network range,
e. to all hosts.

Also it would be nice to have templates for triggers so that when you create a new host you can apply a large number of predefined triggers to that host in one go.
