Just like title stand - I got some problem with creating custom made names for the tunnels discovered by template for SNMP Tunnels. Currently I use item prototypes with:
- Number of bytes received on {#SNMPVALUE}
- Number of bytes sent on {#SNMPVALUE}
and proper keys with {#SNMPVALUE} / {#SNMPINDEX}
Yet final product ist not so user friendly - since our naming convention is quite generic.
The ideal situation might be if I was able to use some kind other low-lever discovery macro - yet it semms that in case of tunnles there is no way
(or at least I havn;t found any) to extract any user-friendly names from decriptions.
And since it was inpossible for me - I tried to create monstosities like: {$Name.{#SNMPINDEX}} or {$Name{#SNMPVALUE}} or {${#SNMPINDEX}}
yet it seems that zabbix is unable to replace those unfrendly names to more proper ones from that macros.
Could anybody faced with similar problem - or maybe found any solution to that?
