Unable to get alert when AIX machine is shutdown

I am using the out of box template for AIX on a test machine. I see it has the alert to check the agent status but when i perform a reboot. I only get an alert for when the server is rebooted. Maybe i need a custom template? I attempted to create a trigger to ping the agent but it is not recognized. Just trying to fish for a solution

There is an agent.ping metric to monitor the availability of a passive agent: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ent#agent.ping

Perhaps it could work for you.

Yes i see that alert available but it does not seem to trigger. I have the server info filled in on the config file for passive and active on the config file.

Can you show the expression of the trigger that handles agent.ping item?

Looks good. So, what exactly isn't working? You say you get an alert when the AIX machine is rebooted?
