Custom intervals on simple checks cannot be edited

Hello,

I'm becoming familiar with the zabbix monitoring and I'd like to set custom intervals on simple checks items. I read in the documentation from zabbix 3.0 that only zabbix agents active could not have any custom intervals. The simple checks items I've set have the options to customize the time interval, though it seems that they cannot be modified, i.e, I can't write anything on the "period" and "interval" text fields from "flexible" type, for example.
I guess I'm missing something, but I've not found any answers yet.

Nothing special. It has simply worked by itself, in one day that I've tried again
