    MariaDB 11 template support

    Hi,
I configured the MySQL template and it's not working because the commands mysql and mysqldump are semi-deprecated in MariaDB 11. The commands returns "suppress warnings mariadb mysql: Deprecated program namein a future release, use '/usr/bin/mariadb' instead", and Zabbix can't recognize the XML return format.

    How can I solve it?

    Thx

Clone the template and modify what command is called in the cloned template, and update any client-based config to reference the correct command?

Or, does the existing template use a macro that you can just update to point to the correct command?

I have not looked at recent versions (my site is not running the latest Zabbix yet), but perhaps check to see if there's an updated, separate template for MariaDB?

This one uses mysql and mysqladmin commands and should be quite easily adaptable. Just need edit that conf file for UserParameters.

      PS.
      Tested versions

This template has been tested on:
      • MySQL 5.7, 8.0
      • Percona 8.0
      • MariaDB 10.4, 10.6.8
As you see v11 is not among tested versions... So you can submit a feature request, but I am pretty sure this kind of change will be picked up sooner or later.
