Zabbix as APM Monitoring

Was wondering how comparable would it be Zabbix vs something like NewRelic for APM monitoring?

I see templates like jmx tomcat, I can get web transaction load .. not sure what else would involve to get full APM constructed with Zabbix.

Any hints/ideas/ thoughts ..if zabbix could be used as an APM monitoring tool as well?

We are using Zabbix with Grafana and then using powershell to make API calls to grab New Relic APM metrics. I realize thats not a whole solution, as you are asking, but thats how we are coping with 2 systems and 1 dashboard

Yeah thats not the question I asked originally. Would like to move away from NR APM and see if I can get at least 80% of data that NR provides with Zabbix. I am looking at the zabbix jmx gateway agent atm.

Can someone confirm, how comparable Zabbix is with AppD or Dynatrace?

Zabbix is not APM. Simple as that and you will not be able to make APM out of it with current version.
