Exclude Host By MAC Address in Discovery

    Hello,

I've have a few discovery rules that scan my /24 subnet ranges.

In a few of the ranges there are some DHCP clients that I would like to exclude from being added.

For the static devices I can alter the discovery action to exclude the Host IP, but this won't work for the DHCP range.

Is it possible to exclude based off MAC address? That way it won't matter if the IP changes.

    Regards,
    Peter

I think not because discovery action does not have option for MAC Address.

If you know the IP range, can you use action condition to explude it?

Yeah that's a good idea. Just exclude the DHCP range from the discovery rule. I'll do that. Thanks!

You can skip it also on the discovery level: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...discovery/rule

The IP range can contain very complex expression:
P range The range of IP addresses for discovery. It may have the following formats:
      Single IP: 192.168.1.33
Range of IP addresses: 192.168.1-10.1-255. The range is limited by the total number of covered addresses (less than 64K).
      IP mask: 192.168.4.0/24
      supported IP masks:
      /16 - /30 for IPv4 addresses
      /112 - /128 for IPv6 addresses
      List: 192.168.1.1-255, 192.168.2.1-100, 192.168.2.200, 192.168.4.0/24
Since Zabbix 3.0.0 this field supports spaces, tabulation and multiple lines.

You can comma-separate the list of ranges you are interested in.
